The information, code samples, and architectural patterns published on David’s Skills Reference (“the site”) are provided for general educational and reference purposes only. By using the site you agree to the limits described below.

1. Code is illustrative, not production-ready

Every code block, command sequence, and configuration snippet on this site is distilled from one real production codebase at a point in time and is published without warranty of fitness for your specific scenario. Before copying any of it into a system that handles real data:

The site deliberately does not provide automated tooling, AI-generated code, or a “click to deploy” button. You are the production engineer; this is a cheat sheet — not a substitute for review.

2. No professional advice

Nothing on this site constitutes:

References to FCA compliance, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, and similar are architectural pattern references. They describe how real production systems met a control family at a point in time, not how your system will pass your auditor’s assessment. Engage a qualified professional before relying on any of these patterns for a regulated workload.

3. Accuracy and timeliness

We strive to keep the technical reference current, but open-source libraries release breaking changes frequently. A pattern documented here may drift out of date as upstream APIs change. Always cross-reference the official docs of the library or framework you are about to use, and treat this site as a starting point, not the authority.

The site links to:

Some pages on this site display advertisements delivered by Google AdSense and its partners. These ads are clearly labelled “Advertisement” wherever they appear, in line with AdSense program policies.

If you believe an ad is misleading or inappropriate, please report it to Google and copy us via the Contact page.

6. Trademarks

All product names, logos, brands, and trademarks referenced on the site are the property of their respective owners. Their use on this site is for identification and reference only — no affiliation, partnership, or endorsement is implied unless explicitly stated. Examples:

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the site operator disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the site, its content, or linked third-party material — even if the operator has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Changes to this disclaimer

We may revise this disclaimer periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the most recent change. Material changes will be summarised on the homepage for at least 30 days.
